Capturing moments
that speak volumes.

I'm Zachary Eldred — a photographer based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I frame the light, movement, emotion, and subtle details that come together to create intentional, captivating photographs.

Whether you come to me with a fully formed vision or just the start of an idea, we build it together — your inspiration sets the direction, and I handle the light, the gear, and the details that make it real.

Had a shoot with me? Tell others how it went — I personally approve every review before it appears here.

Submitting sends your review to me for approval — nothing goes public automatically.

Good photos don’t happen by accident. Here’s how every shoot comes together — the gear, the session, and the edit.

The Gear

SONY E-mount α 7R G 24 35 50 70 2.8 4 5.6 8 11 16 IRIS LOCK

The Camera

Sony A7R III

  • 42.4-megapixel full-frame sensor — the finest detail in every single shot, with room to crop in or print big
  • Hybrid autofocus with 399 phase-detection points — locks on fast, so the subject is always sharp and stands out
  • 5-axis in-body stabilization — steady handheld shots, even as the light starts to fade
  • 4K video up to 30fps — for the moments that deserve a little motion, too

The Lens

Sony FE 24-70mm f/2.8 GM

  • One lens, every job — wide at 24mm for landscapes and tight spaces, 70mm for flattering portraits, no swapping lenses mid-shoot
  • f/2.8 at every zoom — the same bright look and creamy blurred backgrounds, wide or close, and it holds up as the light drops
  • G Master glass — sharp from corner to corner, so even big prints stay crisp
  • Fast, near-silent autofocus — grabs focus without a sound, so it never breaks a quiet moment
  • Focuses as close as 15 inches — rings, hands, and the little details get their moment too
  • Dust- and moisture-resistant — ready for real locations, not just studios

Also in the bag — a tripod, flash, and the little things, ready when a shot calls for them.

The Vision

Before anyone picks up a camera, we talk through what we’re making: just for fun, socials, business, marketing, an event, or something else entirely. We build the vision together, pulling inspiration from everywhere — and when you book, take a look at the inspiration board on the contact page to get the ideas flowing.

02

The Shoot

Shoot day runs on the plan we built — locations, subjects, and flow all sorted beforehand. This is the fun part, and I keep it that way on purpose: I’m always down to throw on some tunes, and you’re welcome to bring a friend or family member along. The more comfortable you are, the more room there is for creative flow, and the better the photos and experience get.

The Edit

After the shoot, I go through every photo meticulously — fine detail, color, and the overall composition — until each one is polished to the highest quality. Have a creative lean for your set? Tell me the vibe — moody and dark, bright and joyful, or anywhere between — and I’ll shape the edit around it.
